How can I get an overdrive sound from this preamp? At the moment it is a very clean sounding preamp (im guessing that this is because of the preamp design). Is it even possible to get an overdrive sound from this preamp?

Thats exactly what I am using. So if I change the pot to a 4m, I will beable to hear a decent change in treble when I adjust the pot? If I were to keep the 1m pot, what caps would I put in place of the 47pf and 470pf?

Because I copied the Ampeg B15 portaflex tone circuit. The pot used in the ampeg for treble is a 4m, I dont have any 4m pots at the moment so I just through in a 1m but I feel that it does not cut or boost treble much at all so I think that a 4m pot would have a bigger effect.

The tubes are in ceramic sockets, which are pre soldered to the board with holes on the board for the wires to be soldered to for the heating. Is my idea of parallel tube wiring correct though?

Im building a tube preamp and Im replicating the ampeg b15 tone circuit. The pot for treble is meant to be a 4M but the shop I go to only has pots up to 1M. Is there a way to turn it into a 4M, putting a certain resistor somewhere on it?

Thats also another thing, I have the high voltage hooked up and connected to the B+ on the preamp but I cant get any readings, I measure from the B+ out on the rectifier aswell as the B+ circuit on the preamp and I get like 1 volt or something. I have a feeling I was given the wrong...
