when you say harmonic pinches do you mean false harmonics? I think all the ones i was using in those vids are natural. I used to find 1 21, 1 21.. easier, but after practicing 1 12, 1 12, until I nailed it i've found it alot easier to play fast disco lines

I've only just turned 18 and one of the bands I play in is composed of people between around 27-30. I thought the age gap may be a disadvantage at the audition, but they were really cool about it. It's nice when people can see past your bumfluff to the bass player underneath : )

I thought it was funny, but only because it relates to one of my bands. We used to have alot of trouble cutting through the mix as our lead singer's (female) voice isn't as strong or loud as our other singer's (male) voice. This means that the engineer can't boost her vocals nearly enough...

When I started gigging we used to get gigs just by making friends with the sound engineers on nights out. Go around venues talking to the people who work there and hand out demos/ myspace address. It helps if you take people's numbers (you are much more likely to follow it up than they are)...
