I don't think so Frank :) i mentioned CE for fdeck only because customs check that when something is above 50€ or something like that and they would basicly just throw it away. I personally don't care about CE :)

HPF cuts EVERYTHING below selected frequency, normal EQ pedal cuts/boosts only SELECTED frequency. ONE DOES NOT SIMPLY COMPARE EQ PEDAL TO HPF PEDAL :) Joke :)

In active mode the signal goes trough buffer, something like with sfx microthumpinator and it needs 9V. In passive mode it is plain simple HPF and doesn't need 9V.

You play Rumble 15 or 150? If it's 15 you should look for a new amp. B string requiers some additional power to reproduce that freq.

Hey! I owned and used both and they are totally different things :) BDDI was more aggressive than RBI, dunno why but thats how it was. They should do the same thing, they just sound different. For live i preffered RBI more, because you have seperate level controls for your amp and for PA ( xlr ).

You all forgot hartke bass attack. I owned tech 21 stuff and this thing is closest to BDDI with mids for like 150€ less.

Which BTB do you have? I would suggest that you buy 3 500 kohm and wire it to passive, thats what i did and you will love your BTB even more :)

I owned sansamp rbi and bddi and now I bought hartke and I like it more. If you wanna get some dirt, buy another dirt pedal with hartke :)

Tosin recorded bass for 1st album himself but it was just for kinda " glueing " things together with guitars, nothing fancy really. They dont use bass for live.

I have the same setup as you mentioned, power amp + VXL and limiter + compressor. I would go to a gig with just these, because its the same as it was with RBI, the output was from RBI and thats it. I mainly use the rig just for good " monitor " on stage.

Try passive wiring and you will get the purity of bass :) i did that with my BTB with MKII pickups and it couldn't be better mod for 15€ ;)

Same here with BTB, i think that preamp just sucks sometimes :) pickups are OK, not perfect but OK. So like i said, i'm going to try passive cuz MKII hum's are passive and maybe some other preamp, i think that Aguilar just calls my name :) but it's hard to get it here in Slovenia :)
