+1 I have Markbass Amp and Cab and I am pretty satisfied with sound and weight. I am also past that half the century so I hear ya! That's why I bought that cab.

I have three sons. My middle one (15) plays guitar and the youngest (11) just started playing drums a few months ago. Currently I jam with my youngest almost every day. We have a small 1 min. song bass/drum repertoire of funky stuff. Best experience!
