I didn't like the blinking either. It also made a popping sound each time it blinked. I got a Voodoo labs current doubler (not voltage) and now it powers up without the glitching.
I gotta say, I'm a little disappointed in how the useful/desirable features of JF pedals are spread out amongst their offerings. CAPO has a LPF, but no HPF; the opposite for the Sarto. If you want the tube goodness that's an extra $500ish and another pedal on your board.
How about a CAPO with a...
I felt the same way when I got mine. It just sounds so damn good. I never turn it off, just fiddle with the settings sometimes. My band mates love it too.
I have a Strymon Zuma R300 and two Ojai R30s.
When I got my LUCE and connected it to the Zuma, the pedal would blink several times before the light turned solid. If my amplifier was on before turning the pedalboard on (surely not best practice, but just happens sometimes), it would make a...
Looking forward to hearing the reviews from those of you who already have one while I wait for mine!
I normally don't buy gear before hearing it/reading reviews, but the CAPO is my favorite piece of gear ever and I have little doubt that this will be a nice addition.
I also just heard Shon...
That's quite the list!
I have a question for you. Are you putting your filters before or after compression? The filters I've tried sound a lot better to me before the compressor, but I also wouldn't want them before my octave, which definitely sounds best after the compressor. Bit of a...
It's a riot. Takes dirt really well too. There's at least one good demo on YouTube. I do recommend a compressor/limiter afterwards though as it throws off some crazy peaks that could damage your speakers.
I just received mine and I love it. I also have a Proton Mk4, Joshwah, Analogman EF, Xerograph Deluxe, and Fwonkbeta. The Funky Puppy and the Fwonk are staying for sure. I'll probably pass the others on, although they are all very good filters.
Wow! This thing is amazing. This will probably be an always on pedal for me. Gives my tone a big fat bottom without the boom/muddiness. For those of you who have had this pedal for a while, are you still using it or has the honeymoon phase worn off?
Also, if anyone was hoping for a blue one and...
I regret selling this pedal. It's the perfect fly rig. I use four separate pedals to accomplish what it does on my board (compressor, OD, HPF/LPF, preamp/DI). There are other things I want more right now, but I want it back.
