Well this just FANTASTIC! [d'oh moment rant]

Ugh. Okay, so I wrote and recorded a whole album....and now I have to re-record it in a new tuning. I wrote all the songs in Guitar Pro. 9 of them in drop-d and 2 in drop-d#. I recorded them all while writing and tabbing out the vocal parts in Guitar Pro. So now it's time to track the vocal...

    Small PA for band practice?

I'm putting together a new band and I'm looking at PA systems. The PA we used last band I was in was bought by the drummer and singer, and it seemed like it was a ridiculous size for what we needed it for (vocals at practice). For this band we'd need it for vocals and a backing track as...

Problem with Fast Track and Mixcraft

I followed the instructions [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] But when I get to step 5, all I see is this: When I click on the drop down boxes for the default input and output they're just blank. I can't select anything. I'm new to all of this so maybe I'm just missint something...

    Warped pickguard

Is there any way to fix a severly warped pickguard? I've had my SX PJ for a while now and I think it's about time I fixed it up nice. I'd get a new guard but I'd want to be sure that it will fit so I don't end up wast $20+

    Oh snap, new bass time

It's not that new, seeing as how I've had it since christmas. My girlfriend is learning to play, we went in 50/50 and got this: Squier Pete Wentz signature. Essentially a P-Bass with a Jazz neck and a Duncan Designed pickup. Oh, and no tone knob. It needed no setup when it was delivered...

    Stage layout

Okay so my band was planning on setting up like this when we play shows: Guitar 1----Guitar 2 ----Drums----Keys----Bass I know the way I see pretty much every band ever set up never has two guitars on the same side. I was wondering if setting up this way would make any difference in how...

    Backing track

So my keyboard/synth player has quit the band. We're going to put all the synths and whatnot on a backing track, most likely run off of the drummer's laptop, since he plays to a click now also. It'll most likely be set up with the click in the left channel and the backing track in the right...

    Playing to a click track.

My drummer and I thought it'd be a good idea for him to start playing to a click track to try and get the overall sound of our band (especially the rythym section) tighter. We know that there a good bit of ways of doing it, so how bout some suggestions for setting up a click track?

    So I'm evacuating for Gustav...

...and between my dad and I, there are 15 basses/guitars in my house. I only have room for one, and I'm not sure if my dad is bringing any at all. They'll be in the house with no A/C for a few days at the least, and I have no idea how the heat (humidity?) will affect them. Any advice on what we...

    Another n00b ohm question

My dad has an Eden WT550 Traveler bass head, and while reading though a MF catalog, I noticed it said that it "puts out 300/500/750 watts of power at 8, 4, and 2 ohms." So I'm wondering if it'll be safe to use with my GK backline 4x10, which is rated at 400 Watts at 8 ohms I belive. Just...
