Small PA for band practice?

I'm putting together a new band and I'm looking at PA systems. The PA we used last band I was in was bought by the drummer and singer, and it seemed like it was a ridiculous size for what we needed it for (vocals at practice).

For this band we'd need it for vocals and a backing track as well, but seeing as we'd only really need it for band practice I was thinking something like this would do the trick.

Thing is I don't know if that will be enough for what we're doing. I never really touched the PA in my old band except to put my mic up.

Would a system this size be recommended for a band with 2 vocalists and a backing track?

How about some decent used stuff from CL:

What was the PA that the drummer and singer provided? Do they own monitors? If not then getting a couple of floor monitors might be the way to go. They could be used for practice and then at gigs with the PA.

IMO, you don't need mains up on stands, only monitors. 4 floor monitors should be enough to cover everyone in the band. Any decent powered mixer should suffice to power them. Of course you can always get the floor monitors that double as mains if you want to use them that way.
