I picked up a Fender Aerodyne Precision recently. I love the bass but the J pick up hiss far too much. I'm looking to replace both the P and J pick up. I play mostly death metal and need some advice on which route to go. Also, is there anything else to replace that will help reduce hissing?

Alright I'm in the market for a new amp set up. I plan to spend no more than 1400 dollars and I require 350W or more(Preferably 2x10). I'm thinking well over half the time I will be trying to dial in a Dir En Grey/NOFX type gritty/glassy sound too, and I'm looking for the set up that can do it...

Edit: Just figured out my amps input had gone bad, not the ground of the bass. Now the question is whether to spend 50 dollars repairing a 300 dollar amp or to just buy a new amp since this one is too small anyways...

Out of the box my P pickup was set funny, set low on one side and high on the other, on both parts of it creating sort of an arching shape. I lowered them, and set them straight but now everywhere I look the P pick up even in official Fender pictures have that arching offset thing going on, does...

My new Fender Aerodyne Precision bass is finally here. It is replacing a no name P bass knock off, and boy I wont miss that thing. Slaps sound beautiful, and the neck is so much nicer than what I'm use to. I've been jamming out all day long. I got it on sale for 600 instead of 940 by the way...
