New bass time

Yo everyone,

Have been playing bass for quite some time now. I'm finally replacing that no name P bass knock off which I hate oh so much. I've pretty much narrowed it down to two different J basses. The first choice is your standard MIM Fender Jazz, and the other is this http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Fender-?sku=526799 is there any negative reason why it's on sale? Does it sport the same neck as the MIM? Which of the two is a better choice?

I'm open to any suggestions that range from 400 to 660 dollars also.

wow, that's a great deal on the j-bass 24. if you're after a j type bass i don't think you're going to beat that for the money. i have a standard MIM j and it's great for what it is, but for the price you can't go wrong with that 24. that all black is hot!
