First... nice avatar... Second... my suggestion would be find an authorized repair shop, get friendly w/ a tech and have them order you spare guts... i've have a spare transformer, 3 pos selector, but used up my last vol/tone pots... even then... there's many takes on what the schematics...

I can say without any doubt whatever is stated as to the design & construction is legit. It was a work in process for him for at least a year or two prior to them hitting the streets

I’m using the BigBoys… so far they’re great. But I’m coming from years on flats only. I do know the strings are made to Rob’s specs and are not just a white label generic string and designed for 35” scale

I put a flat washer on snagged off an A/B box I have in pieces. May very well mar up the finish but she’s a player and a lil finish wear there is to be expected and easily covered w a knob

Kinda agree if you look long/hard enough you will find problems. Especially w Gibson’s noted stellar quality control. If it sets up & intonation is good. All else would be esthetics and likely only you would ever know. But ez for us to take that stance as it’s not our new baby... but still...

Is it the ferrule that’s “off” or simply the ‘play’ in the threads? I’ve been in the fastener world/mfg for a long time and the tolerances of the threads on the bolt & the ferrules could very well be loose enough to cause that tilt cause to me eye the ferrules look equal. Maybe hand tighten...

nice, very cool... there's a whole slew of threads on this site dedicated to the circuit on the epiphone Jack Casady basses... as they've been dealt notoriously sub par components (my bass is already on set #3 of pots, 2.5k and it's an '02-03) and the schematics etc out there are questionable...

My JCB is in the shop as i type for a number of things but a dead pot being the main driver as she was dead in the water (shaft took a hit, bent and died, basically killing the whole circuit)... One thing the we decided to do is to forego the OEM pots & put mil-spec linear taper pots in... this...

Would the be the basic thought behind the Jack Casady basses... super low impedance in a passive circuit?

Eden metro DC210xlt... A bit heavy BUT.... Amp has 2 chnls 1) all SS 2)hybrid like the WT amps. The porting on this amp makes it an excellent sounding combo and good for a huge variety of gigs. Since dumping my SVT rig back in 94. This amp has done a ton of local giggin as well as road work...
