Hi, I think I've heard this is somewhat common with L1000s, but is this a problem? I'm concerned the fingerboard appears to be a little cracked. I assume this is the truss rod protruding slightly. It doesn't seem to affect how the instrument plays. Thoughts? Thanks a lot!

I notice on Bob G's site that he has an XLR out solution just using a 1/4" to XLR male. So I assume this is microphone level signal as opposed to a line level signal needing a transformer direct box? (sorry, I assume this has been asked before...)
