I'm back to using my ProCo FatRat. I was using the EAE Model feT for a while which is pretty great but IMO nothing beats the RAT. I have it + an EQ in a loop with a clean blend. Perfection.

EAE Model feT. I'm super impressed with this thing, I think it does both low gain and high gain exceptionally well.

Another vote for the Sonic Research ST-300 mini. I compared it against the Peterson Strobostomp HD and the ST-300 won due to its quickness. The Strobostomp sure is a visual treat, though. But, functionality > looks.

If it were me, I'd just keep it, especially if it sounds and plays nice. Shoot I'd probably clumsily ding it in the future anyway. That being said, if I was purchasing a *dream* bass and it arrived like that I would consider returning it. It just depends.

It depends. If I want to decrease bass and/or increase treble, I do it at the beginning of the chain. If I want to increase bass and/or decrease treble, I do it at the end of the chain. I figured this out a while ago, it just sounds best to my ears.

I'm a minimalist and own only one serious bass, it is my absolute favorite bass, I bought it while it was still in production but it has since been discontinued. I for sure want a second one, I'ma have to find a decent used one!

I've tried the MXR Phase 90 block logo vs the Phase 90 Script and the Script is miles better. IMO it feels like it was made for bass. Side note: I've not tested it myself but I've heard the Phase 95 doesn't match up to the originals. Idk how accurate that information is though.

I don't think so. As long as they stay affordable and not change the classic designs too much, I think Fender will be on top for a long, long time.
