This is my Ibanez SRK-P4 with built in routing for the Korg Kaoss-2 mini-pad. Having this I bought a Korg mini Kaossolattor as both are proprietary.

I made a space to save the second module on the back. I printed out all the effects list for both for quick reference. I also installed a 10000 mAh power bank to power the synth module. 2 AA batteries last about 2 hours, this bank last a LONG time.

I also have a Steinberger Spirit XT-25 5-string headless bass that based on spacing and ergonomics was the perfect candidate for my next modification.

After various analysis on multiple basses and wanting to use one with a small for factor, roundwounds, and overall fit the decision fell on this guy! The fit is perfect for using the device, playing fingerstyle and even using it in tandem. Power bank (8000 mAh) more than meets the needs and better that the 6 foot long power cord that comes with it.

I always wanted one of those Ibanez's - I absolutely adore the Kaoss Pad and Kaossilator.

Waiting on the replacement screws for my power supply to come in, but I've tested the Fuzzrocious pedals individually, and I'm a *huge* fan. The only thing I may change up... the Shift Line A+ is a bit redundant right now... but it does a very-close-to-B3K drive, which I like a lot. Just mocked everything up (spacing is slightly off... that'll be fixed when I run cabling... making sure everything fits right now).

Tentative chain is Tuner -> Octave -> Spectrum -> Comp -> A+ -> Fella -> Stache -> Clone -> Phase 95 -> Carbon Copy -> VTBassDI -> HPF

Ok, so sometimes I feel like I should just sell a lot of my pedals lol but it finds its way back from time to time.
All of this has been going back n forth on my main board.
At some point, I had both hx stomp on the board and I could have called it a day. Great tones and could easily dial in anything I needed, but where’s the fun in that haha

My main board is the one with the black hx stomp. Ultrawave is doing all the work as eq, comp and distortion and has the best tones of all my different setups.

The board with the white hx stomp, the eq2 and compressor is my sort of preamp. Eq into comp into stomp(distortion from stomp and h9) and back into the 2nd channel of the eq2 and a end of chain eq there.
The clean tones are actually even better in this setup, drives are almost as good as in the ultrawave but just almost.
It still sounds great.

It’s a fun board and I can take either to rehearsals and it will just work.

The last board is with a bit of leftovers, that still sounded really good. If I was to put a compressor in there too, it would be even great.
The only struggle there is that I can’t connect my synth in there, but I might work that out too.

Long rant…but it was just a reflection over how fun it was to play through all of these boards. All with limitations and benefits, and a knowledge of me never being done…

Up and running!

front.jpg

On the right, next to the broadcast, a tuner will take up residence. On the top there's some space for the model t preamp that will hopefully arrive soon or for an ebs octaver or ...

back.jpg

The white plugs on the right are the 24v for the broadcast. maybe i will go back to 18v. Don't know yet. when this is decided, the powercales will be cleaned up. Maybe i will fit a HPF under the board. Let's see.
