PYPB 44: ...like Tetris with boxes, wires and cables

Posted in a different thread the other day, but looking to add something into the FX loop. I'll take any suggestions. Was thinking some sort of modulation, but nothing is jumping at me.

current board setup after last band practice… ceb3 gives me a bit more control over the filter than the ehx chorus clone and swapped lil fella for the tc dreamscapes as a thickener for one song… still wonder if there’s a more “eerie” modulated reverb out there than the oceans 11 setting but for now GAS has settled!

(looks a bit messy as I haven’t velcroed anything down yet)

I miss the days of my big board...

(The vacant spot had a Darkglass B7k before it was sold)

But for now...

With my current setup, I definitely have some adjustments to make. I'd like to swap out the Crayon for a different flavor of drive, add an envelope filter (looking at you Spatial Delivery), and maybe some others. I don't truly need my Sansamp since I've got a DI out on my WD-800 and there isn't any functionality that I'd be truly losing other than a few flavors of tone/drive, but I like the idea of keeping it on my board to give me additional options should I ever need them.

One pedal I still use on certain songs is the MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe. It will do chorus or flanger and has an hpf option when you only want the chorus on the higher notes but keep the low notes clean and solid. I didn't find a C4 patch for chorus that I like as much but I haven't searched the data base lately. I am considering building a smaller pedal board that mainly uses the C4 for effects for use in for smaller venues.

I tend to like chorus out of all the modulation. I like that the boss ceb3 is subtle yet can get to the edges of wild and has a dedicated knob for the filter. I set mine so the B and E strings are unaffected, gets a little chine on the A string and then full chorus on the D and G. The ehx bass clone does similar with a switch but can sound full on at times (if you like that sound).
Tc dreamscapes has chorus, flanger and tremolo with 2 modes of each plus a fine print - I get limited use as I don’t like it doesn’t have a filter but it does sound good as a subtle yet thick chorus. Not as crystal as the boss though.

@Frodolicious its really fun. I saw where they are releasing updated versions of several pedals, of course right after I get one.

I saw the V2's as well, and honestly I'm not super interested. They are more expensive, and I don't use MIDI. The extra control knob isn't enough to sway me either. The V1 is perfect for my needs as is

Updated board. Added the OE BassRig SV, and moved the 4 LBA 2020S's under the board. Should be good... for now.

Would you mind sharing (or showing) your 2020S routing?

And I don't know what that tropical fish pedal is, but it's doing the heavy lifting on your board, aesthetically. Best use of colored button toppers I've seen so far!

Other notable differences I’ve seen users report are being able to use spring reverb without any repeats and the tap tempo switch not killing the repeats. I don’t use MIDI either.

Thanks! I really love all of JAMs artwork, but that Ripply Fall may have been bought 50% on looks alone... Thank GOD it sounds just as good as it looks!
