Too bad it looks like the shell pink short scale 4 string was discontinued? The 30-32 scale 5 string model looks super interesting, hope i can lay hands on one to try out sometime.

Maybe Im coming off as aggressive, but it was just a silly joke, not trying to make an argument lads.

    Kiesel Aries A2

Yeah that was the point of omitting them. I dont disagree with the comment as a whole, that one line is just an objectively funny thing, to say something is a copy except for basically its entire physical design. Coke is just like Orange juice except for the Taste and Texture

Back mounted and upwards tilted jacks are super handy actually, harder to pull out by stepping on a cable, tuck up around the strap nicely. Ive had a few ormsbys that used a similar position, it works well No truss rod cover is an upcharge because it requires someone to manually interrupt CNC...

For the love of god, I hope ibanez starts doing some of these in proper gloss finishes. Meh on the satins in general, and the open pore raw tone stuff on the wood/burl tops really isnt my bag. Bet they would really pop with a gloss finish on.

Major body mod/refinishing my Hamer SB4f - Project Thread

Oh, never posted updates with the new pickups and wiring! Took a little routing to clean up the pickup routes and slightly widen them for the Barts, i think we also sunk dowels in under where the screws went to lift em up more and have a bit more meat for the screws. electronics, big switch is...

Curious, what about this would make it better for sight reading?

Dingwall has priced themselves out of reach for the average Bassist or are the really worth it ?!

Are you talking about the Korean GTR line? Because I dont think any of those apply to those. And for what they are, they are priced pretty great.

Ibanez Ergonomic Headless Bass (EHB) club

If Im being honest with myself, I'd probably be happier with a 4 string, despite loving 7 string guitars Ive found going from 7 to 6 on guitar, and 5 to 4 on bass to be much more natural. But I'd still be very interested in a 5 string multiscale, but IMO the least attractive finishes are on the...

Ibanez Ergonomic Headless Bass (EHB) club

Im surprised that the pearl white 4 strings arent more popular, they are lovely looking, imo better than the seafoam or black of the 5 strings. Maybe by the time I am in the market for another bass(after i get a new neck for my SS, and my Ormsby 7 string guitar arrives), Ibanez will have some...

Ibanez Ergonomic Headless Bass (EHB) club

The 6 string colour is by far the best looking colour for the EHB's, i like that it doesnt have a really thick burst around it either, you can see the body wood on the arm comfort cut. Really unfortunate that the two best exotic finishes(Black Ice and Dragon Eye) arent available on their most...

Damn I wish that orangeish burst colour was available on the multiscale models. Or the grey scale 6 string colour !

Major body mod/refinishing my Hamer SB4f - Project Thread

Incoming, ordered a pair of Bartolini Original M44C soapbars off reverb, will be wiring them up for series, parallel and split coil with 2 small 3 way toggles. Feel i got a decent price on them, really not much out there for soapbars that are even close in dimensions to these odd ducks(hamer...

Major body mod/refinishing my Hamer SB4f - Project Thread

Got some good sunny pictures! Minor changes in these, some major ones incoming I'll list below. So far: A new Graphtec Nut, which is amazing. Original plastic nut looked like poopie, had super uneven string spacing(like several mm out). New one was a night and day difference for playability. Cant...

The two piece headless bridge on those is really neat.

    The Ibanez Club (Part 6)

I sure wouldnt mind seeing it. I really doubt with the price of headless hardware that they would release crappy entry level stuff, but yeah Im after higher end as well. I love me some kiesels(have several guitars, but not as hot on the vader shape as a bass). Also, top horn needs to get...

Old thread here, but just had to say how much I like your bass. Im a big short scale and headless fan, and that demo he did sounded fantastic.

    The Ibanez Club (Part 6)

I was pretty set on it before I remembered how much I prefer short scales. If they make a EHB 30" 4 string I would be selling off stuff right now to afford it.

The Official Medium Scale Bass Club

So as someone who is pretty sold on my shortscale 30" four string, but also interested in possibly branching back out into 5 stringers(my first bass was a 35" 5 string BTB, was a bit much for me but sounded great), do you think the slightly less short 32" scale would be convincing for a 5 string...

    The Ibanez Club (Part 6)

Lighter overall, way less neck dive on any given instrument, tend to have more stable tuning. Pack easy(a 34" headless would likely be shorter overall than a short scale bass, which already normally fit into electric guitar sized bags/cases) which is a big difference for touring people, or going...

    New Ibanez (headless, multiscale)

I dont really have much time on a multiscale bass(aside from a Dingwall, which had too much "spread" for me) but I had an ormsby 7 string multiscale guitar for a year or two and replaced it with a kiesel osiris multiscale 6 string. No problems with multiscale as long as the spread is...

    Hamer Club?!

Thanks so much! My Kiesel Guitar was actually the reason I decided to do this style of bevel, I got that guitar specifically because I figured it would be better for my wrist with chronic tendonitis(it is). I think I might still have refinished it, possibly with a more traditional bent top...

Well, some of it is! The neck is original, and the pickups, and the bodywood underneath(albiet heavily reshaped). New electronics, pots and knobs, new bridge. two of the neck screw holes were plugged and relocated along with the change from plate to ferrules. pickup routes were rerouted to...

I posted in here a while ago with my pawn shop Hamer slammer SB4f in progress mods, might as well do a nice update post now that they are basically complete. Before: Ugly burst over photoflame, no arm bevel, zero 17-20fret access, no belly cut, chintzy bridge. Loved the short scale, how it...
