New Ibanez (headless, multiscale)

I'd like to get one of the 5-string multiscale but don't know which I'm more afraid of 1) I can't play this thing or 2) I can't play anything else anymore. Anybody else with a multiscale know day one that was their bass or did you have to warm up it?
It didn't take long for me to warm up to multiscale...maybe an hour or two tops. I don't see myself going back.

Nope. Some say multi-scale would need adapting. But since day one I finally owned a multi-scale bass few years ago, I've been switching back and forth between my parallel fret basses and the multi-scale on the fly.

Was no issue to me. I actually use multiscale on all my guitar work now. I'm a fan. Very ergonomic and natural

I agree with most others. Switching between my parallel fret and multiscale basses is seamless. Maybe an hour or two of adjustment initially. Most of the learning curve was above fret 15 (where I don't belong anyways) I did sell my short scale I never jived with, but that was before I owned my multiscale. I've seen very few posts (perhaps none) from people who bought their first multiscale bass, and sold/returned it because of dislike of multiscale.

I dont really have much time on a multiscale bass(aside from a Dingwall, which had too much "spread" for me) but I had an ormsby 7 string multiscale guitar for a year or two and replaced it with a kiesel osiris multiscale 6 string. No problems with multiscale as long as the spread is reasonable(dingwall was too much, Ormsby was a bit more than I wanted, kiesel was just right), was natural to play right away. Same with a few other high end fanned frets Ive played

This seems to have a fairly conservative "spread" in scale lengths and a well placed neutral fret, it should be pretty natural.
