I'm also using Pulse. It works great, but I can't figure out how to resize the UI. (I'm using Reaper.) Probably fine if you're using a 1080p monitor, but I'm on 4K and it's a little hard to read the text.

Good ear! It's something I've been working to get out of my playing as well (and I get on my students' cases about it all the time!) but I guess I still have some work to do.

I've also never had to go past 11ish on my B|Amp; my NXT112/ENXT112 stack puts out plenty of volume to fill a large stage and/or medium room, and at least for the gigs I'm doing, there's always PA reinforcement so I never need to fill a larger venue with just the amp.

The Daggers felt pretty good under my fingers! No burning that I noticed. Took a second for my right hand to get used to them but once I played them for a couple of minutes I barely noticed a difference. I had never tried coated strings before this so I can't give a comparison to others...

Hey all, I just made a shootout of all of Payson's E-standard 34"-37" string sets! Every set goes through a bunch of styles, and each style has consistent pickup and EQ settings throughout. Let me know what you think! Happy to make more videos showcasing these strings in more detail if that's...

I think I remember reading somewhere a few years ago that the neck is parallel and the bridge is series by default. Could have changed since then.

Took the NXT/ENXT112 stack out for a show in Niagara Falls this past weekend! Headlining band was also running an IP112/EX112 stack.

Club Bergantino! Let's See Those Rigs!

This is one (of the many!) things I love about Bergantino. I got to play through a number of their heads and cabs at NAMM last year, and no matter the amp/cab combination, each bass I tried sounded like the best version of itself.

I've been using nickels for years now, but I've always been curious about what other tones I could get with different strings. Gonna be doing lots of shootouts with these!

Jamming out on my AB1 and upright bass. Payson nickels recorded DI through the Bergantino B|Amp. I've had this bass about four and a half years now and I still get excited to play it every time I pick it up.

Spent the day trying out the BFT update and it sounds fantastic! Definitely more manageable across the entire drive range.

Can confirm the same for the NXT/ENXT112. Bergantino really knocked it out of the park with these cabs.

That's something I really love about the B|Amp. It sounds great out of the box, and if you don't dive into the settings it works just like a regular amp.

I do have one and would love to try it. My reservation is that I've heard steaming a finished fingerboard can cause swelling in surrounding areas due to the steam getting trapped under the finish. I definitely wouldn't try it on my Fender because that's quite a thick finish (similar to the poly...

Anyone have tips for repairing a dent in a maple fingerboard? This happened just now, accidentally bumped the bass over onto the corner of my computer. I've heard some people say that you can steam it out if it's unfinished but I don't think that's the case with Dingwall fingerboards.

Club Bergantino! Let's See Those Rigs!

Brought the NXT/ENXT112 stack out for a couple of gigs this past weekend. This is a seriously powerful rig and it holds up just fine on a loud stage. I have yet to push the volume past 10:00 on the B|Amp! I also brought just the ENXT112 to a rehearsal on Sunday and it works great as a...

I've been using the Payson Nickel Steels for about four years now and they've never let me down.

From my own practice with these two I absolutely feel like it could. I'll bring the ENXT to my rock band rehearsal next week and let you know how it holds up, though I'm sure it'll do just fine since my main practice amp for the past four years was a tweeter-less model as well.

Club Bergantino! Let's See Those Rigs!

From a brief comparison, they sound virtually identical with the NXT112 tweeter rolled all the way off. I opted to go with the ENXT versus a second NXT because I only wanted to have one tweeter in the stack. Plus I'm still fine tuning my upright bass tone with the Bergantino stuff, and if I...

This is getting out of hand. Now there are two of them! NXT112 + ENXT112

It definitely gets a good DI sound! I play in a wedding band that does all IEMs, no amps on stage, and I'm going to try out running the B|Amp in place of a pedalboard for my next gig with them. I'll let you know how it goes!

Maker's 46! A gift from one of my mentors. A little on the spicy side for bourbon but it's definitely a cut above the standard Maker's Mark. Definitely was only there for the photo! I wouldn't have an open drink anywhere near the rig if I were playing. I bring a closed-top water bottle to all...

Club Bergantino! Let's See Those Rigs!

Just took the new rig out for its first rehearsal and it sounded fantastic! Extremely clear, punchy, and a ton of low end on tap. It's coming out for an upright gig tomorrow, and hopefully my ENXT112 will be here in time for some pop/dance sets next weekend. Also it pairs quite nicely with a...

Club Bergantino! Let's See Those Rigs!

Oh man you're in for a treat! I ordered my Dingwall almost blind as well; I had played a Combustion in a shop a few weeks prior to placing the order so that I could get a feel for the fanned frets, but I knew that the specs would be fairly different from the AB1 that I wound up with. (The...

I've gigged that Dingwall exclusively since I got it in 2015! It's a really unbelievable instrument. I actually first heard a Bergantino amp at the Dingwall booth at NAMM last month and had to go check them out; a few weeks later and here we are!

Just picked up the B|AMP and a NXT112! Jim, Holly, Lee, and everyone else I met at NAMM were awesome and friendly. It's insanely clear and punchy, with a crazy amount of low end on tap. Can't wait to start gigging this rig!

Best combo amp under 25 pounds?

My most-used amp for the past couple of years has been the TC Electronic BG250-112. It sounds pretty good on electric and surprisingly great on upright, and it's pretty light for its size. Issue is that it's ~35lb so still a bit heavier than you're looking for, and a bit bulky. Either way, I've...
