Just an update. I found a crate be-215l 2x15 cab. 400watts at 4 ohms. And an eden d118 1x18 500watts at 8 ohms. Now I know the gk amp I have runs 380w at 8 ohms and 540w at 4ohms. Both cabs are in the same price range. So which one should I go for?
I found a GK 1001RB series 1 for dirt cheap. Firstly, how is this amp? Any known issues? Also, what kind of cab should I get for it. I dont wanna spend over $250 for one if possible. Any suggestions?
So I’m pretty new to amps and stuff like that. I’ve always gone through DI. Anyway, I have a 300w keyboard amp that I use which is Behringer. My band hasn’t gigged yet and I just wanna know for a rock band that is semi loud, would it be enough for shows like bars and weddings? If not, would...
That’s true. It’s just that all the Gibson Basses appreciated soooo much over the past years. G3s were $700 and epi rippers were like $200. Now everyone wants to sell them for rickenbacker prices and honestly they’re not worth that much.
I'm looking preferably for the limited edition version, but either one is fine. I have an MIM Fender P-Bass I'm willing to trade for it. Please help me, I've been looking for this bass forever but I can't find one, let alone for under $500.
Its an original and you're so lucky you got it for such a good price. I have a friend who bought the same color for $2,500. Oh well, theres another red one(not original) that Im going to get. Same price
I love the Grabber reissues but not the G3 reissues. They sound too much like P Basses and the look isn't right. I'd either take a Grabber II or a G3. There is a C.A.R. G3 on craigslist but it has a maple fretboard which is odd.
P.S.
Don't go for that G3 on craigslist. IT'S MINE when I get the...
There is a way to fix it but it depends on how twisted the neck is. Its easy to tell if a neck is twisted. Just hold it flat and you should see it bowing.
What I have a hard time figuring out is how he found such rare basses. I mean a C.A.R. G3 with ebony fretboard. Tobaccoo burst with ebony fretboard. A full ebony G3. I'm amazed on how many rare G3's they found.
Nice. I just want to get one before Christmas so I have more money to spend for other people. I really hope for a C.A.R, but it might not be so cheap. I hate the natural ones. My friend Dan has a '76 black, but he will never give that thing to anyone.
Actually, the last years of the G3 were 1982, and 1985. There is one where I live for $750, but it was pretty banged up. Different color, half de-freted, and a Fender Brand tuning peg. I would take it if it was C.A.R, but it is regular red.
Been looking for one forever. If anyone has it and is willing to sell it, please reply back. Anything after 75, and before 85. I'm very picky with basses. I really need one. I can't spend a whole lot of money, $700 max. Sorry if it's too low.
