The Tequila Sunrise is the first one that caught my attention but now I am loving the 3 color sunburst. I have seen the blue one too in person and it is also beautiful.

Hopefully they will make these passive as an option, also a short scale version would be really cool. Personally, I don't like the Starcaster headstock (I don't have a problem with the regular Fender headstock). Also, if Squire made these they would be a huge hit. Too expensive as they are now...

Good question, the ones on the Sweetwater website haven't budged as far as I can tell. The two that are at my local guitar store haven't sold either. Relatively few posts here on Talk Bass. Beyond that maybe just a gut feeling I have. I would have thought these would have taken off in a big way...

Great shape, I loved the mockingbird shape ever since I saw Joe Perry playing one in a 70's guitar magazine. Can you explain your creative process and how you came up with this unique design? Definitely "out of the box" thinking on this one. Kudos for creating such an iconic guitar shape.

Btw I made this mistake both times so it should be mentioned: The white lead to the jack must be opposite the end pin, in the photo in the instructions that I had this was not made clear and will not work when plugged in. Might be obvious for some but wasn't for me. Hope it helps.

Just got my second one for my new Frankenstein p bass build. I love these pick ups and if I can install them, anyone can do it. Very easy, just follow the directions (I also watched a YouTube video which helped).

Just played one at GC. Liked it a lot, sound was very fat, and resonant and loud even when not plugged in. Coil tapping sounded really good too. I will probably buy one. Only complaint is that the action sucked, strings were a mile off fretboard, but that can be easily fixed.

I have been wanting one of these for about a month after playing one at GC one Saturday morning. I like everything about it. I think it was selling for $549 so this lower price makes it even more desireable. Congrats on the new bass (and cool wife!)

Looking back this was my favorite bass amp that I ever had. Here's a pic from 1990 of me at FM Station in the San Fernando Valley, CA. That's a Peavey MegaBass on top of 2 Hartke 4 x 10 cabs, great rig!

I have only one bass, an Olympic White parts P bass, it's similar to the first bass that my parents bought me in 1978. I like the rosewood fretboard alright but for some reason I really want to replace it with a Maple Jazz neck. What looks better with Olympic White to you?

One of the oldest arguments... if there is a difference in sound 99.9% of people can't detect it. If anything there is a difference in feel and certainly in looks. Some say Rosewood is warmer and darker and yet some say technically it should be brighter because it' a harder wood. Go with what...
