Similar to what you said Obviously low noise, I don't like too much hight and extremely scooped sound. For this reason i like the KMA pedals they have 4 band EQ. I honestly don't know how much the customs / VAT costs.

I have the Flea Jazz bass, the neck is really comfortable (it's a bit different from the American standard) and I really love the sound! the vintage 64 pickups are amazing. For me the Flea have more character than the American Standard.

I have a Flea jazz bass and I use the EB Hybrid Slinky 45-105 I really like the tone and feeling of this strings but they die quickly (one month) I know the Elixir have long life but they are "agressive" like the slinky? any suggestions?

yeah the Emg J's and Emg Btc system sure fit in the Corvette, but I don't know if it's are the perfect choice for my sound... maybe is better upgrade my bass with MEC active pickups and electronics.
