I have a P bass tuned in C standard with Rotosound nickel 50-70-90-110. They are loose but they sound surprisingly good to me.

I bought and EHX Freeze and placed it before the distortion/fuzz, just because it seems more rational to me. I think it work quite nicely this way, but I haven't tried it after dirt.
