This Antigua Mustang started as a Squier Limited Edition Classic Vibe 60s Mustang bass made in 2025. The Antigua was a limited edition finish only offered internationally.
The neck was swapped for a loaded Fender JMJ Mustang neck...
Hello TalkBass! Long time listener, first time caller.
I just wanted to share with you I bass I have owned for over 20+ years, I have a few questions and thought I should ask the very knowledgeable people here.
I recently came across it again after about 12 years in storage at my parents...
So, pondering a potential refin project.
I really like the look of 70s antigua guitars, and I thought maybe it might be fun to try and replicate it.
The only issue is, I’m not sure how to go about making the finish colorwise, ie how to arrange the layers of finish.
To me, when I look at them...
Ordered a Squier Classic Vibe Bass VI in Antigua finish from Thomann for my 50th birthday and it came last week. Firstly, it's just beautiful looking - my first Antigua, my first maple neck, first 3 pickup instrument and first guitar with a trem arm. It definitely needs a good setup - I ordered...
I'll likely regret this...but I am thinning the herd now that I have my de Gier Soulmate. Not looking for any trades at this time. Price includes shipping in the CONUS. If you're elsewhere, get in touch and we'll sort it out.

Here we have a 1978 “Antigua Burst”(haters gonna hate) fretless P-Bass. Rosewood fingerboard, "C” shape maple neck. This was my main bass for some pretty tour heavy years, which shows, cosmetically speaking. There are dings here and there (none of which effect playability) and sadly, the pick...

Here is your chance to pick up a rare limited edition. I have had it in my studio since 2019 and never play it. I have about 1 hour of playing time total. It still has the original strings that sound brand new. Overall the bass is like new. All case candy and original gig bag included. I am...

Just scored this very rare Antigua body from A friend. I use to hate them but after so many decades My taste has changed I think it’s beautiful. Fortunately I bought or already have everything to put it together. :):hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper:BTW My wife helped me out on this one.
Hi Everyone
I bought a 1978 Antigua P bass last year. (purchased because I loved the sound and how it played).
I asked at the time if all was original and as it should be under the scratch plate. I was assured that it was all good.
However, when I recently had a look it seemed that some things...
Technically, I have had this bass for a few weeks now but here it is: 1978 Fender Jazz with the controversial antigua finish. It's all original except for the tone pot. It came with the pickup covers and the original case which is in rough condition but I'm never going to use it anyway. It...
Hey all,
This is one of those barn find stories, to cut it short i found this around a friends jam room and open the box and tadaaaa, this belongs to his uncle and has been laying there for God knows how long, now i asked once if he is interested to sell but got a not interested answer but it...
Hi all,
New FSR Antigua Pbass owner here.
Since I read a lot about the pickups about that particular model, here are some pics for anyone interested
Not sure about pots
Pickups seem to be the 56003/4 yet ceramic
Any thought ?
Thanks for looking! This bass has been sitting idle for a year now, so that means, it's time to go.
This is the 2012 reproduction of the 70's antigua finish. By far, the most striking color Fender came up with for their instruments :)
The neck has been swapped out with an all maple Warmoth...
