1 cab or 2?

You do gain a percieved volume boost when you corner load a cab. I forget what it is, maybe ~3 db or something as an increase?

But is it a bad idea? Some people on there say to put your stack in a corner if you need a boost but by your theory the walls would be sucking energy like (as well as) the floor?

I dont think of it as the surface "sucking energy". Your cabs are not mechanically attached to the walls are they?

It will give you a low end boost, but not due to mechanical coupling. The whole thing is, each room will behave differently. If you can eq to make the boost work for you then its a good idea. If not, then its a bad idea.
