1 Fender or 10 SX's??

A SX may be a lot of things, but its not a bass to try to flip a profit on -- not in our lifetime!
Only if they were the only basses ever made mate! I've got one and from the sounds of it, I got the dud! Then again, I'd take a Yamaha over a Fender any day, but it's all personal preference!
You must not be into experimental music.
One bass to play, the other nine with going with ebows.
I'd take an SX over a Fender, but I'd mod it a bit: new neck and body from Warmoth, new pickups from Duncan or Fralin, new pots/wires, new BAIII bridge, new hipshot tuners, new tort guard, and new strings. Yup, that would be a Fender killer!
id rather have one good fender than 30 crappy basses.

Just as a suggestion, get the SX's and go Clapton on em, put together the best body/neck/tuners etc, then maybe sell the rest, and buy a used Fender maybe?
I'd buy a Carvin instead!
I just got an SX Jazz to see what all the fuss is about, and it's a nice little bass. I've been playing it a lot, and I do intend to gig it. Do I want ten of them? No.

The problem with that is that SX doesn't seem to have any standards. I've got two that I bought a year apart and nothing lines up on them.

I don't want 10 basses. What I really want is a CIJ Fender 51 RI P-bass in butterscotch.
Barring that, I'm happy with my cheapo SX and Turser basses for now.
All that said, IF I could only have one bass, it'd be a MIA Fender probably.

Yeah, I know, I was just ribbing you. I've got a few SX basses and while I think they're great, my Fender's are seeing more playing time and I'm beginning to warm up to them. And I can't fault you on the Yamahas - those I played were really good, even the cheap ones.
