1 IEM and molded ear plug

20141130_125946.jpg
Last night I played with a band with the loudest drummer ever. Because of this everyone keeps turning up. I have molded ear plugs, but never could feel the music while using them. Anyway, I put an ear plug in the left ear and an IEM (shure 215) in the right, coming from a Rolls unit. It actually worked out pretty good and NO Ringing afterwards. I will try this again, I think that once I get used to it, it will work pretty good. One problem was that at first I was way to low in the room... the keyboard player had to ask me to turn up a few times.

I'm thinking of running the same setup as you. My Rolls PM351 is in the Rolls shop being repaired (bad Inst In pot and a couple of caps), but once it comes in I'll be running the same setup. I'll have mine on my mic stand so it's easier to reach and adjust the volume for when I need to.
