Meet ROUS version 1.2
Made a new bridge out of marine grade plywood, a new tailpiece made of two bass strings and the string holder off an arch top bass, and added a lipstick tube pickup, and mounted an output jack on the back using one of the existing holes in the wheelbarrow.
All together everything was very successful, louder, and crisper acoustically, and retains alot of the acoustic sound when amplified. I might need to get longer screws to mount the pickup as it is still pretty far from the strings and fairly low output.
