Not left handed; a reverse right. Strung for a right and side markers on left side of neck.
The fly wheel segment worked out well I see. You've been very creative here. Suggest you turn the u-clamps on the tailpiece over so nuts are facing the bass body (aesthetic improvement.)

I have a video made just waiting for it to upload to youtube, I also thought I should show the original wheelbarraow I was planning to use, it would of been much more manageable if I used this one v

Video up, just messing around, I'm not used to having such a high action and so much empty space under the strings, I got my fingers caught under the strings a couple times during the video.

I wonder if a 1/4" top would let you get significantly more volume. It's pretty good now though.
Right now it's at just about a 1/4", I might replace it with something slightly thinner and more solid though, its just the cheapest thin ply wood I could find. I think higher tension strings would help a lot too, it really opened up when I tuned it a whole step higher. It is still much louder then any standard ABG I've played. Something that surprised me is I have these same strings on my semi hollow, and they feel much more flexible on this bass.

I've been thinking about neonifying it but I don't think that it would fit the aesthetic of this build. I'm thinking of doing another With a newer bigger blacker... wheelbarrow and nicer plywood and a longer scale, that one will get painted glow green and neon strings. Imagine seeing that an acoustic jam

Update: I got some extra heavy roundwounds, .120 E, and that increased the volume and projection a ton. I still need to refine the bridge and make a new top, I've been busy with CBGs. I haven't decided if I'm going to go with a simple wooden bridge like an upright or if I'm going do something more like a hofner violin bass. I've been looking at getting a simple recording setup to do a better clip, the one I have up now was just my phone's internal mic.
Well Done! Based on the video I would be thinking about putting the wheel back on the bottom for transport!
Transport is actually not that bad, I put an old wide cotton strap on it and I just sling it beside me.
You should have left the wheel on the bottom if you wanted easy transport.
Just stack the amp on top and roll them both anywhere.
I made a new bridge and tail piece last night, whole assembly is much lighter now and I have a really nice volume level now too, I still might make a new top but I don't think I really need to anymore.
