100-year-old Barn Wood Mustang

I'm sure that tort would look mighty fine on this one, but I've already got the natural/tort combo covered on my P-Tractor:

Good job so far! Looks great!

However if you are going to age the hardware, please don't overdo it. A lot of people go waaay overboard when it comes to aging, using coarse sandpaper to make huge scratches into the chrome or even remove it entirely.

If you look at actual old hardware, you will see that the effects of long time wear are far more subtle:

The chrome got matte but thats about it.

My recommendation is, look at these videos on matting and brushing chrome,

but apply the techniques more randomly and you will get a result thats far closer to what old, heavy used hardware actually looks like.
