Genzler Magellan 212 without hesitation. Incredible sound and is a featherweight for a 212 (it's a hair over 50 lbs!!!!)

I've used two 112's or a 212 in loud bands without FOH support for a long time now. Currently running a pair of Barefaced Big Baby II's and keep getting asked whether we have FOH support because they sound so huge.

Not all 210 and 212 cabs are created equal. This 212 might be amazing...but that 212 might not be.

I would prefer to not go as big as an 810, but any other cabinet config won't be an issue.

I'd build a pair of these and keep$600+ in my account. These specific ones aren't my personal cabs, but they are my design. The sound and volume levels you really need are going to determine what's best. If you play outside without PA support matters as well, but as far as what I do, one cab usually works and two always works. The pair with the head and cables is under 50 pounds.

A super simple to build design I came up with a few years back. Its a 112 cab that's rear ported with no tweeter. A very clear, and mid heavy sound.
Another DIY cab thread. Loud, Small, and Cheap. 22 pounds that pounds..
