12 string bass?

does anyone have experience playing A 12 string bass ? I find them super cool.

Yeah, they're pretty awesome. I got to play one at a Chicago GTG & it was super cool. I don't remember what kind it was... I was on my second sheet to the wind. :D

Yep, played one for a while in a band heavily influenced by Pearl Jam... bought it just so we could cover Jeremy, but it ended up being a part of the band's sound.

Your hands will hurt for days when you first pick it up, it's not a gentle beast, but so much fun to play.

You resemble Tom Delonge from blink 182 in this pic. I want to try a 12 string bass...maybe not tuning it, but i'd love to try. I tried an 8 string at GC once...IIRC, it was a Kramer XM8.

:hmm: Not sure if that's a compliment or a slam. :D

I played the Schecter Stiletto Elite 8 string at Drum City Guitarland a few years ago and it was cool, but the knobs were loose and it kinda bummed me out. For $900 it should at least have the basics down as far as fit & finish are concerned.
