13 string Bass

Screw it. I'm gonna beat everyone to it and make a 20 string bass with a balsa wood neck. :hmm:
I see this happening. A cold war string race.

I see in the future, I think there willl be few "bass" players (people who use 4-6 stringers). On a popular guita forum, they also agree that with all these strings, they are basically becoming the same instrument aside from string spacing and scale length. The future is going to be interesting. Having a guitar that can play bass....I like the sound of that.
 
that will not work!!!!!!!!! the neck is too thin with too few trussrods... the idea of tuning in 2nds seems pointless... and the 26 inch scale will never hold tension on the strings!!! and its too much of a short-scale to be called a bass...

Yeah, and if you tied cymbals to your knees, you could almost be a one-man band!
