15" 16 ohm Speaker Options?

Is my only "decent" option for an aftermarket 15" 16 ohm driver the Eminence Delta-B? I can't seem to find any other options? Am I missing something? I emailed Eminence to see if they make a "Neo" 15" driver, but I received no response. Needs to be about 200 watts RMS. I have an 8 ohm cabinet with two 16 ohm drivers wired in series. I'd rather not convert it to a 4 ohm cabinet.

Actually, if you have an 8 ohm 2x15 and 16 ohm speakers, they're wired in parallel.

You could use two 4 ohm 15s and wire them in series for 8 ohms. There are going to be a lot more of those around.

Yup, series would be 32 ohms. But, if you still want 16 ohm speakers, check out US Speaker. They carry several, and some of them are extremely expensive. Like around $475 each.

Celestion used to make a 16 ohm 15" - I think it was called a G100 (that is purely from memory and I could be way off on that). I had a couple that I put in a Kustom Tuck & Roll...they sounded pretty good. Saw some similar speakers on eBay not to long ago for ~$50ish.

Methinks two 8 ohm drivers wired in parallell for a 4 ohm olad would be most efficient.

These are a steal! I have one of their veteran guitar speakers, and have no reason to believe that this would be any less the value.

Wow...16 ohm version is only $30 each (and shipping looks to be actual UPS plus $4 from Kentucky (the address given on their RMA form))!

Imagine...an SVT (or similar) and two 4 ohm 4x15s....TAKE THAT Marshalls!

i have modelled them and they look pretty good especially considering the price. in a 4.158 cf enclosure tuned to 37.22hz they have an f3 of about 38 hz and they will take their full rated power down to about 31hz. this is going by their published specs. one discrepency i found, their published sensitivity is something like 99db, but the drivers spec out at about 94.5db. still for the price it is pretty incredible. i might knock up a cab or two loaded with these just to test them.

That's fairly standard. The supplied figure is often an average within a given passband and doesn't reflect what goes on in the lower frequencies.

I'm always more concerned if Mms and Cms (though one can work from Fs) aren't there for WinISD Pro to derive other values from.

Thanks for the ideas everyone. My bad. 2 16 ohm speaker wired in PARALLEL to get an 8 ohm load.
I'm trying to keep it an 8ohm cabinet so I can pair it with an 8ohm Eden 4x10 and get a monster 4 ohm rig if need be. I'm wondering how this Warehouse Guitar 15" speaker would stack up against the Eminence Delta-B 15" from US speaker? I don't mind spending the extra $60 for a better sounding 15"?

Can anyone with a little more expertise crunch some of the specs for a more educated answer as to which would be a better, if money isn't the most important factor?

In what size cab?
The second one has considerably more Xmax if it's able to be utilised in cab.

based on specs alone i would go with the wharehouse, speakers. the delta's 2.7mm of xmax limits its power handling under 150hz severely.

My quick math = 3.25 cubic feet for the 15" compartment.

It's a little tricky. I'm not dealing with 2 15" speakers as referenced earlier.
I have an Ampeg sealed back cabinet SVT 1510E. It has a sealed box within the cabinet for the 10" driver = .67 cubic feet. And then the rest of the box converts out to roughly 3.25 cubic feet. It has a sealed back, but does have a vent in the lower right front. So it is vented.

The WGS is the better speced. Dang for for only $120 you'll have yourself a quad driver in 4 or 16 ohm cab

Is 3.25 cubic feet enough room for the added Xmax and the right choice to be the dirt cheap Warehouse Guitar Speaker? I'd like it to sound good. Although for $30 it's probably worth a shot?
