Agreed.Looks like all ‘51-‘56 bridges I’ve seen, but in better shape than most.
It's toasted!
I thought the 54-56 P came in two-tone sunburst with a white pick guard only. No?
" I went to by a Carlo Robelli Mandolin for $400. ..."Did you look at all the pics? The body has some age to it for sure. That neck though, not an ounce of fretboard wear on it anywhere that I can see.

I went to their website instead, [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] there to look at, only two really even in my price range. He does have a [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] for a grand that is pretty nice. But I'm not studying it. I'm not buying any basses this year.
I got my hands full with 3 Fenders that I really enjoy along with an '86 Epiphone and 2012 Ibanez. And I also have a 2015 Squire that I'll refurbish some day, as well as a Peavey Millenium BXP equipped with MEC Dynamic Correction Jazz pups from Warwick and a 2 band Tone Monster preamp that I'm about to ship off to someone I'm giving the bass to.
The foam was attached to the bridge cover. That sounds right. Didn't know those had foam mutes like the Jazz.
This is why I don't have a birthyear Fender. At 25 grand it's waaaaay too rich for my blood.
That guy has bad feedback and that's a refin, if it's real.
