Interesting that it has a 6 string compensated guitar bridge, six string tailpiece, six string pickups adapted to 4 pole pieces and a 25" scale. Looks like they basically made a bass out of a guitar.

1960 Carvin Bass???

Neck joins the body around the 17th fret on the Dap-King bass in the video, vs. at the 15th fret on the OP
(which is guitar-scale, whereas the one in the video is at least a 30" scale based on proportions alone).
Not the same, but Carvin "cousins", definitely.
Carvin in their heyday made wonderful, afforadably priced guitars / amps for the gigging musician. I've had a ton of their stuff and still have 2 basses and an amp.
