Wouldn't you know, that we're not playing tonight, so I won't get to try them out until next week, but I've tried them on and I'm already completely blown away by how good they feel. I did hook them up to my phone and I listened to some music, HOLY...:woot:! This could be a real game changer for me.

Congrats!

I don't understand the ear fatigue thing...I can keep my Qi's in all day with no fatigue. Are you guys blasting the volume level to cause all that fatigue?

Not sure, just relaying what he told me comparing his v6s to his Adels. He does live in a town home so his iems are pretty much what he uses for home practice.

Me too, I have small ears/canals and can't wear "regular" buds for more than 30-40 minutes before they become uncomfortable, after an hour discomfort turns to actual pain. I'm not referring to audio discomfort/pain here, just sticking something too big into a small place for too long. (Heh, yea I know, that's what she said.) I've had my Qis in for 4+ hours without a hint of discomfort.

I will say though, they don't blot out as much outside noise as I thought they would, honestly I was expecting more isolation. Don't get me wrong, they still reduce a lot of noise but after years of playing with ear plugs and hearing some people complain about feeling too disconnected with IEMs I guess I expected something else.

I have heard this many, many times - mostly from guitar players expecting that amp-in-the-room sound, I guess.
I've worn mine for up to 6 hours straight (with no discomfort), on cross country flights, plus leaving them in between sets at gigs, 'cus the venue DJ's pound out the noise and I want to protect my ears. I've learnt while using them (2 yrs) that I can have a reasonable conversation with folks with them still in... so, I don't honestly get the "disconnected" part.

To be fair, I have practiced guitar and bass at home for many years using ONLY phones (kids, etc.) so maybe I'm used to that type of sound. idk.. if one can get used to the amp-in-the-room, one can get used to hearing a recorded sound while gigging.

Thanks! The few minutes I actually had music playing through them was sweet! They felt comfortable and secure. I won't really have a final opinion until next weekend, but my expectations are EXTREMELY high right now...

Alright, @hambonie, I know you got your's today as well...you gotta show those babies off!!!
I'm so mad right now. My ears are sitting at the distro center about 15 mins from my house and they are scheduled to be delivered Monday. So I called and asked if I could just swing by and pick them up and the operator was like "No they have to be signed for" so I was like ok. I'll sign for them when I get there. He said "I'm sorry sir, we can't let u do that" After letting him know I was not pleased, my wife said "baby, just wait and get them Monday, it's not the end of the world." So guess what....I'm waiting til Monday...I'm not happy.

Trust me, my friend, I know EXACTLY how you feel. FedEx did that same thing to me a couple of weeks ago with one of my basses! I was like, "I can't come pick it up? SERIOUSLY?!". I was so irritated...:rage::banghead:

At least they're in town and close. Monday will be better than usual...

That stinks! Mine are at the Graphics Applied stage so I am hoping they can get buffed, QC'd and shipped no later than Wednesday. There is nothing more irritating to have something sit over the weekend at the distribution center. I remember checking the status on a bass and FedEx listed it as out for delivery on a Saturday so I stayed around the house all day and it never came so around 5 p.m. I called FedEx CS and they informed me it was an error and wouldn't be delivered until Monday. I was having my tirade with the person in CS when my wife, like yours said it wasn't the end of the world. I said, well, it could be. I could die in my sleep tonight and never get the chance to play it. She just shook her head.

That's a little better than what happened when I called FedEx, they told me I could go pick them up. But when I got there they said no, you can't pick up a package if it wasn't already scheduled to be picked up! Imagine being in the same building and being told you couldn't have them!

Sheesh! Sometimes it kills me when people don't have the common sense or courtesy to do the obvious right thing.
