1964 Ears Owners Group

Bummer!!! 64 Audio left off part of my suite number so when FedEx came to deliver the package the label had suite 1 instead of 103 so they weren't delivered at 9am. I got a call from FedEx for an address correction but they couldn't tell me when they will be delivered.

Crazy Update!!!

I was able to track down the package from FedEx, opened up the box and they sent the wrong model. They sent V6s instead of the A4, paperwork got a little messed up. Anyway, customer service was supper nice and they are putting in a rush order to build the Adels which should ship next Wednesday. In the meantime they said to use the V6s. So I put on Beetoven's 5th and wow, what an amazing sound! I hear everything so clear and with so much separation, my old iems were such crap.
Which is a bad news for me, as one more rush order in queue, mean that i might need to wait a little bit longer:roflmao:
Anyway, congrats, at least they fit nicely. so when u get the A4s, there shouldn't be any problem for the fitting.

Sorry about that. They are already on step 4. I did make one change, I went from the clear shells to charcoal. They got the fit perfect, I can open and close my mouth and the seal doesn't break.

Here are the ones they sent and now the waiting begins for the A4's

The new case is really so neat and gorgeous, but the name tag on the old case is much better than the name on the new case. anyway, i still prefer the new case, hope i can get the new case. I am afraid they will restock the new case before mine are shipped out.

You can buy cases, they're in the accessories section. I know, one more cost, but I'm mulling over picking up a new case. The (minor) issue I have with the old style case is it's tough to get the buds to lay flat with the curl I have in the ear hook. I always worry I'm crushing them or stressing the wire connection. Probably a little irrational on my part, I always take great care with them. OTOH, I spent quite a bit on these and don't want to risk any damage.

Totally up to you, but I love the case that came with mine! It feels really stout.

Kind of looks like a Burberry bottle of cologne. The picture isn't that great but the graphics look cool to me.

I received my A8s this morning. The fit and sound is simply amazing. I compared them to my previous CIEMs and...wow! My graphics didn't live up to my expectations but I'm still extremely happy with these! I hope they last forever

Awesome! What were your previous CIEM's? How many drivers, etc. I know Inam curious as to actual differences between a V-series type of IEM and the Adel IEM.

I was using Alien Ears C3 - Dual Low Triple Driver. I can tell you that I could add as much low end as I wanted without feeling pressure in my ears. I can't offer a comparison between the V-series and Adels. I read some comparisons on Facebook and the consensus is if you can get the Adels (even if you have to reduce the number of drivers) then go for it.

That is crazy! Will they let you keep both? That would be awesome.

I used my V-6 stages last night for the first time on stage. A couple of thoughts: 1. They seal awesome and since I stand right beside the drummer, its nice to have that ambient noise cut out. 2. The extra long cord is a must. 3. I had slight discomfort in my inner ear due to the girth (can I use that word!) of the ear canal tip. I haven't decided if it's because they are just different than my Ultimate Ears Pro 4's or if they no kidding need to be shaved off some. I wear them again Sunday so I'll see. 4. The sound is amazing. I can clearly hear the all the pieces of band and I had to turn the master volume of my Aviom down to accommodate the ears. It's been a while since I was able to mix my sound to hear everything like I wanted to hear it. 5. I liked the name plate on the old case better than the new case. You can hardly see the name engraved on it. Overall, they are a HUGE upgrade over my UE's and I am happy with them. They are super high quality and will be the last set of ears I buy.

Try a little lubricant on the tip of your ear or the tip of the IEM as it can feel it has a bit of an edge to it. You can use baby oil or [ahem] personal lubricant [ahem], which is effectively the same formulation as the Oto Ears lube. A little dab is all you need.

I've mentioned it before, and have not really seen the question answered..
How much different (better, quality, etc) are the A series over the V series.
I have Qi's (quads) and the Adel equivalents are about +$400.
Going up to additional drivers (5, 6 and so on) has an equivalent price bump.
The question comes down to.. are the A4's worth the price diff from the Qi's for bass??
Same for A8's are they worth the extra $400+ base price over the V8's ??

I decided to go backwards and got the A3's, which should ship by end of this coming week, so will let you know. I have a bit of tinnitus and the preamp on my Sadowsky is big, so I thought the Adel tech and one less sub-driver might help there vs my Qi's.
