1965 fender precision bass - what should it sell for

I'm planning to list my beautiful p-bass & case on ebay. any idea what i should set the reserve at? I'd also like to know the color name.

No clue what it's worth - ballpark would be in the $6000 range if it's in as good a condition as it looks I THINK. (Again, don't take my word as gospel here - there are many experts on the subject, and I'm not one of them.)

Oh, it's awful. You'd be lucky to get $5 for it.

As a matter of fact, I feel so bad for you that you can just ship it to me, and I'll make sure you're never seen with it again. Wouldn't want you to be seen with such a nasty ugly old peice of junk.

Also, if i had $5000 i would buy it for that. But I don't so you'd better just to give me. Like I said, have to keep up appearances etc. etc. I'd even pay the shipping to save you having to deal with those rumor-spreading postal workers.

A rule change has come into effect on "What is it worth?" and "What would you pay for..." type threads.

To post a thread such as these you MUST be a supporting member. These types of threads should be posted in the forum for which they belong (ie; amps and related in Amps, basses in Basses, etc.) This policy covers and includes all sub-forums here at Talkbass.

This issue has been the center of some Moderator discussion for a while now, and it seems that Kelly's above statement is the generally agreed upon consensus. That said, I'm locking this thread.
