1971 Precision Bass: Back from invasive surgery

I was there while it was getting plek'd ;) I dropped off my '72 Jazz for a re-fret, plek, and bone nut.
I also gave him my '71 P last year, which took him about 3-4 months to complete, but it hasn't need anything since. Pretty insane...

PHIL IS THE MAN!

Thanks for the comments, everyone.

That pickguard was drilled to snot by the previous owner(s). The scews in there now are the screws that came with the bass. Adding more screws won't make me play better or it sound better, so I just leave it alone. This is a tool that's going to be used.

Ah so they're speed holes. ;)
Seriously, I hear ya and dig the utilitarian look of the ol' girl.

Some shots of the bass in action from my latest gig. It's got ridiculous ass and sustains forever!

Just wanted to chime in again to update the fact that this bass continues to murder in every way possible. I've never played a better bass in my life. Maybe it's rewarding me for bringing it back from the dead!

It's currently strung with D'Addario Chromes and there isn't an adjective in existence to describe the fatness of the tone it throws out.
