kudos for going the extra mile to bring back a classic bass to be enjoyed for another 40 years.
What was the total cost of this repair? I have an all maple 72 P neck with a broken rod at the neck heel at the threads (about 3/4 inch broken off). Wonder if it is worth fixing, or if I should just sell it for what I can.
Phil mentioned you during our phone conversation! Glad you got to see it!I was there while it was getting plek'dI dropped off my '72 Jazz for a re-fret, plek, and bone nut.
I also gave him my '71 P last year, which took him about 3-4 months to complete, but it hasn't need anything since. Pretty insane...
PHIL IS THE MAN!

Agreed. You'd have to look at it from 2" away and in certain light to see any sign of a cut. Extremely impressive. It was amazing. You couldn't see any marks! He said he cut on the grain to make it unnoticeable. Phil is the best.

That pickguard was drilled to snot by the previous owner(s). The scews in there now are the screws that came with the bass. Adding more screws won't make me play better or it sound better, so I just leave it alone. This is a tool that's going to be used.
Hey bud! That is a wonderful looking bass!
Phil's a magician! That's some nice repair work right there! Great skills!
