Cool glad to hear it. Shot in 1978 that outfit was a gold satin with kiss (the band) white leather boots all original band even had a 4 song Ep out in the stores back then that was just before I stripped my hair white. fun times
We had 28 originals and a half dozen heavily modified cover tunes in our arsenal. Never did vinyl although we booked time in a studio (the only way to do it back then) and got two demos down on cassette and reel-to-reel for our promo pack to the labels and FM stations. We were heavily pushing for a deal with Atlantic Records at one point. Turned out to be a rather futile quest considering we were hard rock (we called it "high energy rock" because we could never figure out what else to call it) with a Brit influence. Imagine an unlikely cross between the Kinks, David Bowie, Procol Harum, bebop jazz elements, prog rock, a tiny bit of funk, and saints knows what else. It sounded a little like...I don't know...and not much like anything else really. The record people told us we would be difficult to categorize. We took it as a compliment. But it was actually the kiss of death since everything the labels were doing back then had to fit into a shelving category or the record stores wouldn't stock it.
Then along came Disco!
Those were the days. And I sure can live without them.
