SQUONKY - An adjective used to describe something squishy, loveable, cuddleable or all in all positive. Usually used to refer to squishy chubby cute animals.
My guess is when you get to that point playing the T-40 "right on the edge between 7 and 8" it's so loveable ya cant put it down loll...other than that I'm not sure I wanna know loll

...And then there is just 'Squonk', which is something entirely different...

So the controls just didn't seem to be doing what I have read they are supposed to do so I opened it up and there is a wrong pot installed for the bridge tone. I want to replace all the pots and the incorrect phase switch. I am trying to decipher what I need to order. I found the phase switch and I have found a control pot but the number is not the same as the old. They are the 250K but I don't know if its a taper, linear, or what. I read somewhere that there is no difference in the pots themselves but rather the capacitor is what gives the ability to go from single coil to humbucker. Can anyone confirm this or point me to a vendor that has equivalent pots for this bass? If I do a search for the part numbers on the wiring diagram I come up empty.

Slight difference.

Vol pots are Log, You want to use 250k Linear for tone pots, CTS taper code 1 or 3 denotes 's' taper.
