Always easier to get the basic shaping done before the wings are glued, then just the meshing of the wings to the central core, and finish sanding/shaping to get the neck tweaked to the feel you want.
I found it easiest to do most of the shaping without the body wings glued on and then di the heel and the final shape after gluing the body on. That seemed easier to me anyway.
This is looking great BTW.
..... thank for all the input.....my personal thought there, is that for the final shaping you have to have them glued on, unless you know the exact shape, like if you using a cnc machine.
(that's with all of my 3 build experience)
