Thought on twin neck bass project.
I have been looking at the forum for some time, and have finally got around to joining at last.
I am based in the UK, and have played bass for a many years on and off, more off than on.
Recently I started a renovation project on a bass guitar, but as usual more work was needed than first anticipated, so I am now at the stage of building from scratch a new bass, body is made of Mahogany, the neck I have purchased. Have recently invested in more equipment for a new workshop, I am about to embark on a new build project, which will be a twin neck bass, not sure at this stage what the configuration will be, probably 4 string fretless and a 4 string fretted. But the configurations are endless.
All will have through necks, made from solid walnut.
6 string + 4 string
6string fretless + 4 string fretless
5 string fretted + 4 string fretted
Just wondered what you guys thought of the idea, and whether you think its a goer, your thought and comments would be much appreciated.
Many thanks
