1W mini-amp built-in to bass. Thoughts?

I hadn't thought of it in that way - was just thinking of this as a practice aid.
Crappy - or at least poorly isolated - earphones would probably be good as you'd be able to hear everyone else in the background.

It works fine ... I've got one fitted to the beater bass I keep in the office for practice. Battery life is good - still running with the same 9V in the photos.

I've some question might relate to this threads.
1.Could I fit-in a headphone mini amp (VoxAmplug "alike" - China gadget, built in rechargeable battery but made for guitar) into control chamber for monitoring in a live perform (or bad rental rig, a mad drummer, wireless monitoring), can i use same original signal wiring in parallel, will it drop or tone lose or something to the main output signal?
(my bass - Warwick corvette pro series - active bass)

2.Which position is better.
a.Cut out the 1/4" of my h/p amp and put into the chamber (just plug headphone to 3.5mm pot but drill hole to bass and depend on first question, signal quality)
b.Put some 3.5mm pot on control chamber's cover for output signal and plug (drill less hole to bass and carry some gear)
c.Connect some passive D/I and split signal to use (might be perfect signal and no drilling to bass but more gear to carry)
