1x15 Recommendations

Boy, that Orange cab would have to be dipped in gold for me to pay $2000 for one! $2000 for a single 15", huh? I don't think I've paid $2000 for all my cabs combined throught my lifetime.
I still say the Ampeg double baffle B-15 cab is the way to go if you want an old school sound that also cuts. Throw a Delta 15 in it and it'll handle 300w, too.

Just noticed and ampeg SVT15E on ebay australia for AU$400.
Does the ampeg have good range or way too much low end?
Is it better used in conjunction with a quadbox, or is it sweet to use as a stand alone?
If Im looking at it from a money perspective, theres the 2nd hand orange for AU$700, or 2nd hand ampeg for $400.
btw, the ampeg is only rated at 200 watts, -enough?

For $700 AU I'd probably get the Orange. I love Ampeg cabs but I think that SVT15E could be better.

Althought the Viet Nam made models don't seem as well constructed IMO. If you can find an American made 1x15 Ampeg SVT115, it is a great cab. Orange is also great as is Mesa IMO.
As always, try lots before buying.
take a look at the carvin 115 cab its rated 600 watts and only 319 american dollars. and its a decent speaker i have one in my combo
The Bag End S15 cabs are loud, focused, and punchy if you don't need massive low end. An excellent choice.
I can't believe nobody has recommended the GK 1x15. Any of them are good but to cut through hard, a RBH would be the best. I have a RBS and it pretty much destroys.
