1x15 standalone cab?

The Schroeder 15+L is the hot 115 on the market. Expensive, but fits your profile very well.
I recommend a Bergantino AE210 as a 2x10 alternative. It's a very assertively voiced cabinet, certainly mid-punchy and not too sparkly.

Yeah, that too! Whole different sound, more traditional and it will take anything you pump it with.
All the ones sugetsed above a great. I grabbed a Mark Bass HR151 & it's good. A bit larger than the traveller probly, but still nice & light. HAs rear port tho, some don't like thsound of these but I like it.
I have the traveler 151P and it's great. Huge sound, light enough to carry in one hand, handles 400watts (my F500 is right at home and just PUMPS out the decibles), and it's cheaper than the shroeder, which I think is the only cab that could compete.
The cmd 15 inch markbass has a smaller cabinet volume that limits its low end punch a lot, and the full size cab is pretty heavy. I call this cab goldilocks for a reason. Hope this helps.

I use a older Mesa Diesel 115 with a Eminence Kappalite 3015. It sounds pretty killer and is light weight to boot. You can pick up a Diesel 115 for about 250 used and a Kappalite for about a buck 20.
Another vote for a great, punchy, solid and "less than expensive" cab.
Around 70 lbs with an original EV15L & casters, but you don't need to lift it much or carry it very far...except, well, casters won't help on stairs as much as a friend on the other handle; not an issue around here, anyway.
One or even 2 of these will fit in most medium-to-larger car back seats.
I keep one and a 2x10 ready to gig, in the back seat of my 300,000 mile old reliable '83 300D. I have attached jacks to the rear deck speaker wires, so I can use them as car speakers when not gigging. Sounds awesome to me; though I'm sure that technically, there are much more practical and ergonomic solutions.

Mesa's original Diesel and "Road Ready" cabs used the TL designs E-V was giving away a couple of decades ago. I built 4 different TL designed cabs that look like the "Raod Ready" cabs, and all are excellent sounding cabs!
In the last 18 months, while trying to lighten my load, I've switched from the single 15" to the single 12" cab. Obviously the 15" will provide more sound below 60hz. But both work well, keep up with the loudest of drummers (with appropriate power), and with Neodymium speakers are as light as anything available.
I'd have to add that the majority of new single 10" and 12" cabs available are based upon the TL designs, attesting to their sound design (no puns intended!;p).

Whereabouts in the world is the OP? That makes quite a difference to what's available.

I have a pair of Mesa RR 15s (EV15Ls) and Bag End S15L-Ds. They are both just what you describe you are looking for. Take your pick. Pair them up and they are all you need. 15s are the new 10s.
