2 112 Cabs vs 1 410 Cab

I agree with @SJan3 and @MarkA that 2x12 is more modular - you may find out that 1x12 could be more than enough for small gigs.

I would suggest the two 112’s as a nice starting point and should be fairly close to your 410 (maybe a little louder but this perception depends on the voicing differences between the two cabinets.

I'm right there with your OCD but as @agedhorse said, the tone is subjective. If you dig it, who am I to argue. I think it's an odd combo and the worst choice if convenience in transporting is a priority.
Do you like the sound of the two 12s or 4x10 better? That's the question I'd be asking myself. If maybe you like them for different things. If you're able, maybe you want to keep both rigs but if I were being tasked, I'd go with the two 1x12"s.
Much more flexible setup.

I feel like the tone in the 2 112’s has a deeper tone, but the 410 has a lot more head room, I’m pretty sure I’m gonna keep the three so depending on what my needs are for what gig, I’ll have the flexibility to do 112 for practice/smaller gigs, 2 112’s for medium to larger gigs, or the 410 for bigger outdoor events

Yea that’s definitely how I’m feeling when I play a single 12, only gonna take out the 410 when I need more head room

I've carried a few 112 and paired them and done ok but you are talking generally, 500 to 600w for the two and if run with an 800w/4 you are into dangerous territory when pushed hard.
What is stressing..? amp or cabs.
However, I've got away with it unless the drummer is crazy loud, by then you have other problems too.

So, my preference here is 2x112 for carry and space, or a 410 for a bigger stage.
I actually keep a 310 750w cab for that reason but also have a 210 that really delivers..so the 310 can go. That thing is 36lbs, iirc, so its a win all round.

Theatre stages gets the 410, imv.

In my experience, a 212 was sounding pretty much the same as a 410. The only difference was in the feeling. I felt the 410 was pushing more air.

IV found pairing 2x10 with a single 15 the perfect mix. Great combo of low end on the floor and the highs and mids pushing through the top at ear level.
Also gives flexibility to just use the 2x10 if it's a smaller gig.
Mark bass have some great stuff, but so do other brands.

I now use and prefer a set of 2 X 112 cabs for ease of handling, that punchy sound and clarity of low notes.

To me, in general, a 410 has a fatter bass and pushes more air but the low notes can be hard to distinguish in a smaller room although you can adjust the EQ accordingly. I never had that struggle with my 2 x 112.

I love a good 410 but will never own a cabinet that I can’t easily schlep myself. I’d rock 2x112 all day.

Think quality before quantity. In reality, how often would you ever play either combination at its maximum output? I dare say never. Go for the portability. There are exactly zero points for making a job harder.

The OP has an amp that’s rated at 500 watts into 4 ohms. There’s no dangerous territory driving the 2 x 112 cabinets.

Wondering which combo is better for gigging and just over all convenience
I’m running a Aguilar TH500 into a Hartke HL410 with 1000 watts rms and just managed to snag 2 Hartke HL112 with 300 watts rms each for total of 600
Now my question is will the 2 112’s be louder since it’ll use the full 500 watts split into 2 8 ohm cabs or is the 410 still better even though I’m running it at 250 watts at 8 ohms

In my opinion you purchased the best set-up with (2) 112s.

Kinda late to the party on this one, but I have 2-112 Aguilar DB,s, and a Berg HS410, both are old and heavy, and the tone is somewhat different between the two, but the basis of 2-12's vs. a 410, having 2-112's is nice, gives the option of using one or 2 cabinets, and when stairs are involved, much easier to drag up & down, there's always a place, for a good sounding 410, and with the newer lightweight cabs now on the market, it really comes to what sound do you want ( 12's vs. 10's ), been thinking/looking into the Subway 410, as it's lighter than the Berg HS410, but haven't been able to sample one .....yet, most of the newer 112's have pretty good power ratings, so that's note the issue, the real issue is there's too much to choose from

Hmmm I managed to blow up a GS112 running as a pair from a Thunderfunk 500B
I'd say that puts it into dangerous territory.

Admittedly, TH500 is not a Thunderfunk but I wouldn't be oblivious to the possibility if it were me.

It’s possible to damage almost anything if you don’t have good common sense and reasonable expectations.

I still think the OP’s choice of amp and 112’s is a good one with little risk provided he has good common sense and reasonable expectations.

Maybe cumulative damage, maybe manufacturing fault.
Of course there are risks...and no manufacturer can guarantee otherwise.

Most speaker warranties do not cover abuse (accidental or otherwise)

There are ways to tell if a speaker has been abused, if these signs aren’t present the speaker is generally covered.
