So a little but louder but not that much ...Not as loud as you would expect. To get twice as loud you'd need to increase power ten times. In your example to 3000W.

All you need is one instrument cable to run both. Just decide which preamp you want to use and use the effects send from that preamp to the effects return of the other. If you use the 800RB as slave (effects return in) the Biamp will still function. You are one cord away from trying it out.![]()
Sweet!! I bookmarked this...I'll have to grab one of my extra cables from work to try this out!! I've really never tried this and always kept my setups pretty simple, now if i could build a couple fEARful 12's or 15's to run the 800 thru bi-amped (and ditch the Hartkes), I'd be in business...
Just so this is clear, your saying if I used the 400's preamp sound into the FX return on the the 800, I could split the 400's signal??!! I much prefer the 400 right now, so this sounds like a winner to me!!
I would prefer to have the output signal from the master amp be exactly the same as the signal it's receiving from my bass. That way the slave will have the same input signal as the master (safer i assume). Although I'm certain a little gain manipulation can take care of it. I eq with an eq pedal and leave my heads flatIf you use the instrument input on the slave amp it is easy to overdrive it from the preamp out/effects send on the master amp. A tuner out is a low level output on the first amp, but will have no eq.
Yes, I have done these things many times. First thing to pick is if you want to have both amp's eq sections (tone controls) work or just use one eq and master volume from the first (master) amp.
I definitely won't jam like thay with my second band. It would be too much. But my first band has the loudest drummer on earth. The guitarists got loud rigs as a result, and me, I'm in the corner with seemingly nothing coming out of my ampI'd be lying if I said I have never done this. I didn't do it in a band situation though... just hooked it up at the house to see how loud it would be. Yup. Pretty loud. No practical use for me though. Maybe I am an old fogey.![]()
I've heard that strange impedances like that can damage a head. Although i can't see why. But yeah, the 8 ohm 410 getting more than half the power means that i couldn't really use the full power of my head without blowing the speakers. It seems like the 2 head scenario gives me the most volume. No more clipping running cabs a max... the Peavey Tour 700 is only 4 ohm capable ...
... But, you can hook all 3 to it ... hook the two 210 cabinets in series for a 16 ohm load either from the head or out of the 8 ohm 410, and you will be running the head at a 5.33 impedance load, which is fine, and with the increased speaker surface you will not likely even notice the decrease in overall volume ... the 210 stack will be receiving 1/2 of what the 410 gets would be the down side ... if there was one ... as you could even stick your spare head in the picture to appease the 'look' factor (if you are into that) and have it at the ready if needed (but not likely) ...
Don't do it. I'll probably not use the whole setup together like that often. But i have to try it at least once. And it's there as an option if i need itThis thread has increased my gas for an additional speaker cabinet. ****.
I just want to try it cause i already habe the gearThis thread has increased my gas for an additional speaker cabinet. ****.
But then maybe I ought to try this. I have 3 really quite good amp/cab set ups. Maybe I should just hook them all together and give it a go.
I've started a revolution! HahahaSweet!! I bookmarked this...I'll have to grab one of my extra cables from work to try this out!! That's what teenagers in garage bands think like. All that setup would lead to are issues with things such as blending with your bandmates and the sound guy trying to get a decent tone for you with no success. More volume does not help the sound guy, less does. If you're blasting 1000 plus watts then the sound guy will likely not have enough room to REMOVE your voice from the mix. Sure, if your guitarists had huge rigs as well then they would be able to match you, but the drummer and vocalist(s) and any other auxiliary voices would be killed in the mix because they rely on the PA.Plus it would just look cool as F***
I've seen people make them or use orange crates. If you get it too far from the floor you loose coupling and your lowend dies.
I don't know what that means but it sounds important enough for me to agree with it.![]()
