I have the mosky black rat, I've had several gigs with it as a low-gain drive, and I feel like it sounds great and doesn't cut off the low-end nearly as much as other pedals I've tried (such as the fulltone ocd v2). With gain at 8-9 o'clock and filter at 12 at the "vintage" mode I get a solid, compressed tone. I've also had the mxr M85 for a while, sounds great as well. I might suggest it for high-gain settings because of the blend knob.
My only problem with the mosky is that it's designed for high gain, so it's hard to setup the exact amount of gain I like.
