Where I live, it gets hot. Like, 117 hot.
Everybody wears shorts, unless dressed for work or an occasion, and shorts can even work there depending on the situation. Don't see a lot of knit hats here, although up North between summers they are more common.
I don't wear concert shirts or band shirts, even though I own a couple (even one from my own band).
No wacky facial hair, as it's a maintenance hassle and, again, it's too damn hot. Hair is short and functional for same reasons (and still have a full head of it).
No ear gauges, boast points, or tackle box inspired piercings.
I drink my beer one bottle at a time, regardless of "quality". I do like a spendy IPA now and then, but even cheaper beer is still beer. Only prop required is an opener.
I don't wear tank tops, as I don't like sunburn or sunblock.
I don't own any luau armor, and wouldn't wear it if given any.
I reserve the right to play some music as loudly as possible.
My wallet doesn't need a leash.
I don't often wear a hat.
Lifted trucks are, in general, driven by asshats who think they own the road. I drive for a living. I am working here, control your brodozer like a proper driver. It's called courtesy.
I do wear sandals at times, but no socks with them.
I do have a flip phone. It's in a drawer somewhere. Smart phone ftw.
I do function over form pretty much all the time. Is it comfortable and in my closet? Done.
Haven't read the actual article, as I despise clickthroughs. (Again, function over form.)
Do what you will, and all that.
