2010 Camaro or the New Hemi Challenger?

Challenger turns my head every time I see one. It's the car I would buy if I were in the market (had $30K to drop on a sports car).

This is the first F body I've disliked the styling on in 35 years. Don't dig the angular look.

The comparison from an aesthetic feel seems a lot like the Pontiac Soltice v. the Saturn Sky. They're basically the same car, only the Solstice looks timeless and elegant while the Sky looks dated already.

Haven't driven either car, so no comments on performance.

A wheelchair Bro.:hyper: I get chauffered everywher I go.
BTW I was joking and I live in Georgia so I see these everyday.:D

Maybe the joke was lost.:hmm:

Apologies if I offended you.

God Bless, Ray

Here is the funny thing. I am 54 and every time I mention getting a car like that my wife has some snide comment like "What is the deal with old men and sports cars?" So I am a little on the touchy side about it. I didn't think I was old.....Guess I am..... :rollno: :scowl: :bawl:

I'm a total Chevy guy so I'd have to vote for the Camaro. My dad and his two brothers closest in age are chevy guys and his other six brothers are Dodge guys, So it's kind of a teasing rivalry. If it were me I'd cruise around complete with the mullet wig and fake tall boy just to mess with folks at the red lights. Sporting a pair of overalls without a shirt ala Joe Dirt. :D Mind you I live in rural Georgia;)

Nevermind ladies, they don't understand men and cars anyway.

I'm 31 and my Pop is 52 so since when did 54 become old:confused:.

Again I apologise if I've offended.

I wish chevy would give the camaro a package to compete with the mustangs Track Pack. Stiffer springs, adjustable shocks would be nice, wider lightweight wheels and fatter stickier tires, pads, and some weight reduction here and there. Perhaps some aero aids as well.
Give it a nod to the original z28's, and not put a badge on it.

No apology needed Ray. I am a country boy at heart but live in Northern Virginia. Land of the Lexus, Honda and Mercedes. Not that there is anything wrong with those cars, however I have always bought American. The really bad thing is I have waited so long for the New Camaro but I can't bring myself to buy it from Government Motors!!!! :eyebrow:

This economy is in the terlet and Government Motors is a big part of it. It's a shame:rollno:

I've been a GM guy since before I started driving Datsun Z-cars (yes, they're Datsun - my 280ZX Turbo is an '83 with the Datsun name).

I had a '66 GTO and lamented the grotesque Cavalier look-alike that GM gave us a few years ago. Great driveline, completely worthless styling. NOT a GTO.

My jury is still out on the Camaro's grille. I kind of like it, but the truth is the Challenger looks better to me. But if I had to buy a new car (my first since 1977) and it had to be one of the two, it would be the Camaro.

Funny enough I really dug the look of the newer GTO's, though more so the holden monaro's and other stylings of it before the pontiac restyle.
Should be mentioned, the old GTO supped up tempest and wild looking beast so I think the newer ones get more flack then deserved for being so reserved.

Both of them, while pretty, are fat sloppy-handling pigs.

I prefer this:
